Goldilocks Screentime

Created & Co-directed by Lula Britos & Claire McNerney

Will snail mucin give you perfect skin? Can Pilates or weight training give you bulletproof abs? Social media promises answers to every wellness question – but how much advice is too much? And how has replacing mirrors with screens made it more difficult for us to see ourselves in the real world? Goldilocks Screentime dives into the internet, beauty, wellness, and the hypocrisies of trying to be perfectly "just right" in real life.

A site-specific, devised piece that explores how all of the ‘wellness’ advice on the Internet overwhelms us into being unwell, and how, in a world of “more more more,” there’s no way to find “just right.” Goldilocks Screentime is a fun romp through internet culture, blending social media, fairytales, and bears (oh my!), all set at the Stuart Collection sculpture Bear (2005) by Tim Hawkinson.
